Duties: |
Responsible for advocating for clients on all aspects of litigation with concentration on personal injury protection benefits for automobile accidents; responsible for handling all stages of litigation including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, negotiations, settlements and trials; draft pleadings, motions, responses, orders and discovery requests; conducted detailed legal research for cases; prepare summaries and represent clients at mediation, facilitation and arbitration hearings; utilize Michigan No-Fault Insurance Act for casework; worked on medical provider cases; engage in negotiations for settlements; make routine court appearances; handle appropriate caseload involving civil and personal injury litigation; must possess valid State of Michigan Law License. Minimum Qualifications: |
Education: Juris Doctorate – Law or related field of study; Experience: Three (3) years in the position above, as an Attorney, as a Litigation Attorney, or in a related occupation; Other Requirements: Must have three (3) years experience with all of the following: legal research; all stages of litigation including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, negotiations, settlements and trials; Michigan No-Fault Insurance Act; worked on medical provider cases; must possess valid State of Michigan Law License. Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience. |
