Elderly Drivers: Balancing Independence with Road Safety Scholarship
We are proud to announce our annual essay scholarship contest titled “Elderly Drivers: Balancing Independence with Road Safety.”
As our population ages, the issue of elderly drivers and road safety becomes increasingly pertinent. We would like your essays to delve into the delicate balance between allowing elderly individuals to maintain their independence through driving and ensuring road safety for both them and other road users, examine the unique challenges faced by elderly drivers, and explore strategies to mitigate these risks while preserving their autonomy.
The selected winner will receive a scholarship award of $1,000.
Participants must submit an original 750 essay on the topic “Elderly Drivers: Balancing Independence with Road Safety.”
Applicants must have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and must be about to enroll or currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, or community college in the United States. High school students may apply if accepted to an accredited college or university.
Application Process:
To apply for the scholarship, applicants must submit the following documents:
- A resume including contact details.
- An academic transcript that includes their cumulative GPA.
- Their original essay on the topic was provided.
Application Deadline:
The application deadline for the scholarship contest is February 10, 2025.
The selected winner will be notified by email.
